Beth Yauger was born and raised in New York, and moved to the Raleigh area four years ago. She has loved photography since she picked up her mother’s old Yashica rangefinder in high school. She continued photography classes in college, and spent many years shooting black and white film, and doing her own developing and processing. After working as an event photographer in New York, primarily shooting graduations, proms, and the like for such schools as Columbia, Fordham and Hofstra, Beth realized that the age of digital photography had arrived, and that the landscape of the business was drastically changing. She decided to pursue another career, continuing to photograph what interested her, and after several years decided that it was time to pursue her first love once again: photography!
